You Get What You Ask For

“We get what we ask for, that’s life”. Someone told me that a long time ago. After 2 decades, I should know that this saying isn’t true at all. Well, for me at least. Why did I say that? Please read on and I hope you won’t get bored 🙂

Wish List

When I was young, I used to think that whatever I ask or wish or even pray for, will definitely come true. I was so hooked at the idea of “positive thinking will result to positive outcome”, that I clung into the hopes and dreams of a normal young adult.

Now, this saying can also be perceived as the famous lines of a bitchy girl – ” I get whatever I want” or “What Jazzie wants, Jazzie gets”. The first saying above was all about positivity and the good results it will bring, regardless if it’s true or not. The second, speaks of a bossy and spoiled girl oozing negativity all over.

I’m Fat and I Don’t Like It!

Sorry, can’t think of any other title than that,lol. It actually just hit me when I was thinking on what to post for today. This blog is more personal than my mommy blog, so just lend me your ears 🙂

Yep, I think I’m fat and so does my husband and my friends and every old friend who sees me every now and then and this is unexpectedly turning into a rant waah.. Can you blame me? My head title is “chic momma” and here i am starting to feel sad coz well, I’m fat!

I weigh… hmmm better you don’t know the exact numbers hahaha.. I’m actually lighter and thinner than 5 or 2 years ago. 5 eons ago, I was on my heaviest at 180lbs and I’m 5’5″ in height. So, imagine a “dumbo” walking in the mall with heavy loads, both body fats and body fats, grrr.. I had the courage to face the camera and saved those few photos taken when i was oh so huge simply because i want to remember those ugly years and to force myself not to eat too much or suffer the same embarrassments.

What Makes Me Happy?

This is one topic that’s not gonna be a long one simply because there are just a few things that makes me happy. Well, coz those “things” are all generalized thus making it easier to say and write. But don’t try to open the drop down box of those generalized things coz it will for sure amaze you, lol..

Below are what makes my world go round:

  • Primarily, my family and extended ones – No need to explain this further coz I think most of us, if not all, would place our family on the number one slot.
  • Online work – I am so blessed to have stumbled a gem (actually, I should say “gems”) underneath a pile of dirt. Not all of us can work at home and online. Not all of us are cut out for this kind of work coz it takes a lot of patience and patience (lol), to be able to sit in front of your computer for a long time while typing your wits away. I am happy to say that I am one of those people who can truly make it work in a balanced environment.
  • Good health – though there are occasional sickness in the family, I’m happy that none has been tragic and sad. Though, I am not in perfect health coz I have Diabetes, I can say that I’m in good shape now coz I have been maintaining the needed meds so I won’t go crazy ( hehehe)
  • Friends – they come and go, but through the years I have become closer than ever to a handful of people whom I fully trust. They know me inside and out, my weaknesses, strength, flaws and whatever changes happened. They do scold me when they know I did something wrong, they applaud and proud of me when I have surpassed obstacles and won personal battles. They are true friends who would do everything to bring me back to the right path. I don’t get mad at them for saying things that I know are true but just so stubborn to admit my faults. yes, I get hurt, but in the end, I know they are just concerned and most of all, love me dearly.

These are just a few things coz I don’t wanna elaborate much since these are the general things that makes me happy and grounded. How about you? What truly makes you happy? 🙂

Welcome To My Turf!

Funny though I have been blogging since 2008 and it’s only this year that I thought of getting my own name as a domain name (pardon the repetition, hehehe) for one of my blogs, lol. I didn’t forget, I just delayed it for a few years coz I haven’t established my career as a blogger yet, but now that at least a few people (lol) know that I truly exist, thus buying the domain name had a valid reason, ha ha ha…

I am a funny person deep inside and sometimes I had to let it out or i’d go crazy. There are just a handful of close friends that really know the true me though I might let you in on some personal happenings from time to time..

Anyway, don’t you love what you see here? The colours and all? I’m not an expert web designer or coder but at least I made something that i think I can be proud of. I hope in due time I’d be able to tweak all my other blogs and beautify them..

For now, nothing much to read here. hey! I just started, lol.. Be back soon and I might have something to share by that time.. Ta-ta!! 🙂
