Whether it’s a day hike up Pico de Loro or a few days touring Angkor Wat in Cambodia, travel is always the perfect time for selfies. But any selfie won’t do if you want to capture the grandeur of the great outdoors from atop a mountain, or those ancient ruins choked by overgrown banyan trees—with you included in the shot, of course.
Travel selfies are as much about the place as they are about you. Otherwise, you don’t get to show proof of how awesome your vacation trip was, save for a souvenir shirt or some nasty sunburn. So rather than filling the entire shot with just your face, be sure to highlight the destination in your selfie.

Boho in a Solo Art Exhibit
Ginny Guanco’s figures for her painting exhibit at the Galerie Y in SM Megamall are what can be described as a Bohemian’s rhapsody. The art show, which features all-female subjects, opens on September 15. Of the 32 colorful paintings of women, 26 of these are clad in classic boho chic designs in a bow to the artist’s roots as a full-bloomed flower child in the 70s.

Are You Fond of Body Piercing?
To tell you the truth, I’m not. But, let’s just respect those who have done this coz it’s their bodies anyway, right?
I’m just confused why someone would want their tongues pierced and place stud on it. I mean, doesn’t it hurt when eating more so when food gets stuck there? I wouldn’t be able to eat at all!
“White Monster? Well, that’s just the doctor (or the nurse) checking you up, dear.”
Young children are usually scared of the doctors, more so if they are wearing their white uniforms. This goes the same with nurses, who “stick ’em up with pointy things”. My 5 year old used to be one scared boy and whenever the “white monster” approaches, he’ll scream and cry at the top of his lungs. Little tots are being subjected to trauma, without the parents noticing it.
Well, even if it’s just a regular check up, we need the doctors, right? So, how can we ease the little ones’ fear of those white uniforms?
