LBC Express: Aming Ligaya Campaign

Behind every LBC transaction, there is an agent all too willing to assist, and a customer who pays back thru simple words of gratitude.

This is the continuing saga of Aming Ligaya, LBC’s monthly thrust of making commendable agents and their customers meet face to face so they can personally thank each other after a job well fulfilled.

Recently, Esper Tabamo, who has been working as an LBC Agent for almost three years, was able to meet in person Luzviminda Banas, a businesswoman who felt very thankful for the stellar service she was given. Banas, a regular patron of LBC, recalls calling the hotline to follow up on the status of her shipment of souvenir items. What made it stressful for her, then, was that she lost the receipt of her transaction and couldn’t provide the tracking number. It was only when Tabamo handled her concern that her worries were laid to rest.

Kabuhayan Bakery Turns Communities Into Breadwinners

While Lobo, Batangas has earned a reputation as a hotbed for mining, the municipality is likewise home to a rich marine sanctuary. Unfortunately, excessive mining has threatened this ecology, and efforts have been made to reduce Lobo’s dependence on the income from mines.

Goldilocks Foundation, in partnership with ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation Inc.’s (ALKFIs) Bantay Kalikasan and Nutrition Center of the Philippines, took part in this endeavor by donating a fully-functional “Kabuhayan Bakery” located in Masaguitsit-Banalo National High School.

Home Credit Reaches 1M Customer Mark in the Philippines

Home Credit, a Prague-based Fintech company that allows consumers to purchase smartphones and other goods on installment even without a credit card, celebrated a big milestone recently as it reached the one million customer mark, less than five months after reaching 600,000, and less than four years since serving their very first customer.

“In Home Credit’s four years so far in the country, we have observed that Filipinos tend to have a very positive attitude, and this is also true when it comes to buying goods. And often, they buy things not just for personal enjoyment, but also for enriching their lives and their loved ones,” explained Home Credit Philippines’ CEO Annica Witschard.

“So more than simply providing fast and affordable loans, we are able to help enrich the lives of our customers and the people that matter most to them. And we are glad to be able to do this for one million happy customers and counting,” she added.

Home Credit Philippines: The Loan and Winding Road to Borrowing

Have you ever borrowed money before? Say, from a friend, a credit card company, bank loans, etc? I’m sure at one time or another most of us have. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, really. But it would be shameful of you not to repay the loan, right? As per Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, nearly 50% of adult Filipinos have an outstanding debt, while another 33% had borrowed money in the past.

Out of these borrowers, there is a growing segment that has taken loans from lending or financing companies. And it’s hard not to see why these “non-traditional” consumer finance companies are growing in popularity: for one thing, their requirements are usually much fewer than what banks ask for, and the approval process itself tends to be pretty fast, too.

Amway: 2017 Safer Choice Partner Award Winner

These days, using eco-friendly products is a must and it’s also a way of teaching our children to protect and care for Mother Nature. I don’t know when I started using “safe” products, probably since I became a mom and wanted clean living for the whole family. It’s also one reason why I love mentioning or blogging products that adhere to the advocacy to save the planet. I’m glad that Amway is not only creating high-quality products but also safe and environmentally friendly.
