At one point in my teenage life, I had my fill of Tanduay Rum – in its pure form and mixed with lime and juice. Recently, I got to taste it again, but this time with ginger. I don’t exactly know how to describe it except, at my age, it’s not my cup of tea anymore. I’m into wines now but I still drink their Tanduay Ice occasionally, hahaha. But, it doesn’t mean other Pinoys don’t dig Tanduay Rum, in fact, it has been recently ranked as the top-selling rum by global spirits think tank Drinks International. Tanduay has taken over the number one spot from a list of international rum brands that has long been dominated by Bacardi!
