Holiday vacation is almost here and it only means one thing – I can now relax (a bit) from work and covering events, unwind someplace nice with the whole fambam, and watch or play online (my past time) as much as I want. Hubby will be working night shift on Christmas and New Year’s Eve, so cooking for Noche Buena and Media Noche is no longer a prob. Yey!
Relaxing means “Me time” and I usually go to the salon for a makeover or the spa for a massage or to a skin clinic for some beauty pampering. Oh, I forgot to include shopping hahaha, it’s the best stress buster of all! I bet any woman would want the same things as a form of relaxation!
The whole family goes on a trip somewhere for a few days to unwind, that is if hubby’s schedule at the hotel permits. We usually go on a staycation, visit places we’ve never been to, try out different cuisines, swim, shop some more and other things, you know to bond with the kids. I have an 18 and 10-year-old boys who so love the beach, so we might go to Batangas again.
Gadgets are allowed when we’re on vacation and I usually carry my iPad so I can watch my favourite movies and tv series. I haven’t watched Grey’s Anatomy for a few months now, so I’d probably catch up on the episodes I missed. I haven’t watched the new seasons of Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow yet, so they are on my list too. Gosh, there’s a lot of movies this year that I missed because I’ve been working so much, so I hope I’d be able to watch with the family.
One of my fave past times is playing games online either on my own or with the boys and I always lose when the kiddos team-up, hahaha.. When they’re busy with their gadgets, I usually play cards or bingo online. It’s just a game, no serious business.
I love the holidays and I’m so excited I’m already planning our trip! Hopefully, this year will be better than the last. How about you? What are your plans for the holidays?
