Over 300 Artists Painted Mural of Flowers on Manila North Cemetery Wall

Those who visited their departed loved ones at the Manila North Cemetery this Undas were in awe at the colorful surprise when they passed by the cemetery’s wall along A. Bonifacio Ave. The wall was decorated with a mural of flowers from all over the Philippines. 

Over 300 artists from different provinces such as Ilocos Sur, Tarlac, Bulacan, and Rizal, volunteered to come together and painted this mural. Acclaimed artist Ferdie Montemayor spearheaded in organizing the volunteers, together with other artists from the Pinto Art Museum.

UNHCR and UNIQLO return to Marawi for World Humanitarian Day

Last August 19th, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN Refugee Agency, and UNIQLO, a global retailer giant, commemorate World Humanitarian Day by distributing clothing to some 750 families displaced by the Marawi conflict. This marks the second visit by the partnership to the besieged city of Marawi.
