Cars vs Motorbikes – Why a Car is Safer

It is often said that riding motorbikes is very dangerous, and that driving a car is a far safer option. This is a highly contentious issue, however there are merits to both sides of the argument. Here are a few key points to consider in the car vs motorbike debate.

Visibility

While driving a car, your degree of visibility is often reliant on the make, model and styling of your vehicle. Vans, 4WD’s and trucks have far greater visibility than cars which are lower to the road. When riding a motorbike, the barriers to your vision are far less than in a car, and the riding position instantly gives you an advantage when it comes to visibility. This allows a motorbike rider to assess and react to a potentially dangerous situation in a shorter time than someone in a car with poor visibility.

Beginner Keyboards for Your Kids

Children these days are more musically inclined compared to past generations. Perhaps, modern songs are easier to pick up that even a 2 year old can lip sync an artist.

I remember when my youngest was 2 1/2 years old, he was able to follow the beat and some lyrics of a song sang by Bruno Mars. He was so into karaoke, be it on the television or youtube, so we recorded some of his stints. A time came when he was so fascinated over his older brother’s Casio keyboard and played with the chords every morning as if he was Bruno Mars in one of his videos, lol.

So, when he turned 3 and still in love with playing the Casio, hubby and I decided to buy him a beginner’s keyboard, something that is suitable for kids his age but more like a toy piano. We were on a hunt for the best keyboards for some time, luckily, we found one in another city.

Sad that after 2 years, it’s no longer functioning, what with the constant beating of a toddler who thought it also functioned like drums, lol. It looked something like below:

Life Changing Decisions

My life seemed to shatter into pieces when our family doctor diagnosed me with high blood pressure. I know it sounds overreacting, but knowing how people with high blood pressure live their life is definitely alarming for me. I never thought that teens my age are not exempted from this health threat. I have friends that are way older than me who are now very conscious with everything they do; even cutting back some activities we used to do just to avoid the pressure to rise. That makes me very afraid. Now, I need to constantly check my blood pressure with my newly-bought Welch Allyn sphygmomanometer to see if my blood pressure is under control. I guess I need to have that one as part of my daily routine.

Technology and Health Issues

Extra caution is really needed for those who work for a number of hours in front of a computer. As the world becomes more progressive in terms of technology, a lot of people are using computers and other high tech gadgets, spending a lot of time doing either work or chatting in front of their PC or laptop. As a result, lots of individuals today consult physicians about some health issues which are related to their working habits.

I work eight hours a day online for roughly 2 years now, and recently I sensed that my body calls for a “fine tuning” because I most often feel back pains. Of course, it has to do with sitting for a long period of time and no exercise at all.

So, I started upgrading my workstation a couple of months ago. I haven’t gone far yet and just bought a new computer table. There are plans of buying a new ergonomic chair, monitor mount so that I can easily adjust or reposition my screen which helps in improving my posture, screen radiation blocker etc. So many things to improve though in my heart and mind, I know that I don’t need to spend much, frequent exercise and good diet will do, lol.

People tend to follow the trend and most often than not buy gadgets which they don’t really need, only for status symbol. I don’t flash my new android phone or tablet on Social Networking sites nor brag about to friends. Though with some, that is not their ultimate purpose.

We live in a fast paced world. Sometimes, we just have to be still and focus on what’s important for ourselves. Try and look at things differently, you might find that it’s just a simple solution to a problem.
